Re: [Linux-India] problems with samba. Unable to browse network

'Unable to browse network' means your network card & protocols are not set
properly. Check whether you have installed TCP/IP properly. You don't need
NetBeui protocol which is installed by default. If you have installed
TCP/IP then check following.
1. IP address - if you selected 'Obtain IP automatically' then ensure you
DHCP server is set properly. Run winipcfg.exe from Start -> Run. This will
show current IP settings. If this refuses to show any settings then sure
there is problem with your network card. If you given static IP addr. then
check netmask & IP address itself. eg. 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0
2. Check in Advanced settings of TCP/IP properties that 'Set this as default
protocol' is enabled.
