Do this
Main partitions
DOS partition [1.2 G] - hda1
Raw Space [600M]    - mark as hda3 - Linux native
DOS Partition [1.8G ] - hda2
Raw Space [600M]    - hda4 - Linux extended
now hda4 gets broken into
hda6 - Linux mative
hda7 - Linux swap
