Re: postgres error

Hi friends,

 
After reading the documentation I was able install postgress and created the
databases. I have set all the environment variables in /etc/profile. But when
linux tries to start postgres service on startup it gives me error pointing to
to the path that the database not found cannot open file pg_class. But
that file is present in /usr/lib/pgsql/data/base/postgres directory.

I think while booting the master database is being accessed using a different
login and hence the above problem. Can anybody tell me how to change this so
that on booting the master catalog file is accessed from postgres super-user
login. 

I think this will solve my problem. But I could not figure out where to make
the changes.
