the problem has got to do with teh default desktop manager
in this case it is trying for Gnome / Kdm whichever is your dm
now on MIX only TWM works by default to get the other kicking u need to
finger around i had got fvwm working after going thru the faq on the site.

suggest u take a look at Xdenu it is the coolest one u can run it off a
folder in your normal winblows machine try it if u hv XDM or KDM working
