Re: Training Standards v0.02



Hi folks,

Just my two bits...If there is going to be any sort of training
program, we need to decide the following

1. Who is it meant for - if it is for users, well - I don't know how
many end users will be interested in learning Linux. As a desktop
OS, Windows is way ahead in terms of user friendliness and
has a much shorter learning curve. But if it is meant for administrators
etc, then there is potential. 

2. Certification ? Well, here it is probably good to go in for some 
kind of tie up with companies such as Redhat or any other international
Linux certification effort rather than starting a standardisation body of
our own. Why ? because these facilities already exist and atleast 
in terms of standardisation bodies, it really does not make sense to 
have many of them and why should we reinvent the wheel anyway.

I repeat... just my two bits worth...
