I wanted to install Wine and got the rpm package from the May PCQ CD. I then gave the command 'rpm -ivh wine-990314-1.i386.rpm' and wine was installed. I had already installed the Mesa Libraries from the June PCQ CD. I tried to run the executable file 'wine' in /usr/local/bin directory but errors were reported. I read the wine man page and it said that I have compile wine before running it. It referred to a file called 'configure' which it said, would be in my top-level directory. But I could not find any file called 'configure' and hence I could not run wine.
Can anyone help me out with this problem?
