booting problem

Hi Sudheer,

What you are experiencing does not look like a lilo problem at all. It must
be due to the POST tests done on your m/c even before
the control goes to lilo. Try to correct the setup of your machine. Try
loading the default BIOS setup. Maybe some device
is conflicting, or improperly set-up. You can expect the system to be OK
only when you do not hear multiple beeps during boot. BTW, do check your
computer battery is not dead !

bios set up", and it keeps on emitting a continuous beep sound.
Once i reset, it starts working fine. Would any one tell me what's
happening.
