The Linux Kernel Guide in .html.tar.gz format is an excellent source.
Of recent, the Linux Module Programming Guide has come out. Both are
very good and available at http://metalab.unc.edu/Linux/LDP

U should buy the low-cost edition of Rubini's book "Linux Device
Drivers" published by O'Reilly and made available in India by SPD at a
very low cost of Rs 210/-.

Follow Kernel Traffic at http://www.kt.opensrc.org/ and the kernel
mailing list Archives.
