Re: Regarding Trouble During Installation



Linux uses BIOS call for loading LILO. Safest way to use a higher capacity
drive with older 486 machines is to partition the drive into small (540MB -
that was the figure I hope) segments and put all system directories (e.g.
/usr, /etc /var, /tmp ) into first partition itself. This will take care of
some stupid programmes using a BIOS call ;-).
