Internet - kppp . . . . .

Dialing and login to VSNL is successful but no browsing.
I added these DNS numbers (202.54.6.20 & 202.54.1.30)to /etc/resolv.conf but
still no success both advances to an extent. When I telnet,ping before
adding those numbers - no success. Later ping and telnet works but still no
browsing...

Note : Ping & Telnet worked for 202.54.6.20 & 202.54.1.30 not 202.54.6.35
and the first took around 170 ms and the second took around 700 ms. while a
locak ping(192.168.1.1) takes only .1 ms.

202.54.6.35 Chennai Primary DNS
202.54.6.20 Madurai Primary DNS
202.54.1.30 Secondary DNs for both chennai & Madurai

I dont thing any problem with netscape because lynx also fails.

Please help. I am misserable... Nothing has taken me this much time /
days.....

Will disconnecting the NIC and disabling local network help.....
