pgp and kmail

hye ,

i use pgp 5.0 and kmail . i am unable to encrypt any messages for any recipients
as kmail cannot find the public key of the ppl i am sending mail to , though i
know they have pgp keys . how do i get kmail to automatically find the public
keys for the recipients .
