RE: Problem with the computer.



what does the printer do if you just cat a text file on it ?
like with this command:
cat /etc/hosts > /dev/lp0
if it prints things, your problem is with the setup of lpr/lpd and   
printtool
else it maybe the cable, your kernel not using /dev/lp0 correctly, ...
