Printer Problems

Hi,

lpq on my system gives an error as:

lp not ready ( offline ?)

or something to that effect. Can somebody explain what's up? The printer
isn't being detected by printtool
(on none of /dev/lp[0-2], even though it was detected during installation.
No, the cables are in order and yes, the printer is working under windows.
