Re: LINUX SPECIAL from CHIP Magazine

Hello All,

Although I haven't tried RHL6.0 from the CHIP Magazine.. and many people are
facing problem while installing StarOffice 5.0 .. but consider the fact that
at least CHIP has tried it's level best to promote LINUX in India. I agree
PCQ is more experienced in this regards.. but you can't blame CHIP because
of this Library conflict. Are they commited to give us any support? If you
are asking for support then why don't you purchase the official CD for RHL
6.0? In fact in the cover page itself CHIP has given the URL, phone number
for getting the official RHL 6.0.
It's upto you to install Staroffice. And CHIP has given the latest one. If
you are in dire need for Staroffice 5.0 then stay with RHL 5.2. Even
Cheapbyte CDROM offering RHL 6.0 bundles Staroffice 4.0 (as far as I know).
I think we should appreciate CHIP for it's efforts to give away CDs
containing the all the latest s/ws for Linux. Imagine how much bandwidth you
are saving by spending only 200 bucks!
