Hi Manoj,
Make sure you restart your sendmail daemon.
Also if you are sending mails from root@<Ur machine>.<Ur domain> it will not
masquerade by default. Apart from user id root, U should be able to send
mails in the desired format from all other ids.
In case you still want to send mails in the form root@<Ur domain>, then mask
out the line "CE root" in sendmail.cf
