hey,
Check out caitoo(formerly kget) from ww.kde.org
it works gr8 with kde and has a nice and usable gui .
If u want something that will run from the cli look for something called getweb
u can search for it on the freshmeat archives . 
Another good tool is X-downloader (also available at kde.org )
