Hey! We *invented* https. The SSL RFC is co-authored by Kipp Hickman of
Netscape. IIRC, one of the earliest MS-Netscape battles was over the
standard for security on the web. Netscape was pushing SSL and MS was
pushing some other technology (S-HTTP?). MS lost the battle and licensed
SSL from Netscape.
