Re: samba configuration problem



I made the following changes and it worked...

1. Change security to share.
2. Change guest account to ftp (if you don't have pcguest as a special
user (like ftp) on your machine).

Other than the above,
1. There is no parameter like 'service type'
2. The service being copied should come before the service that uses copy.
In your case [homes] should be the first service listed in smb.conf.
3. Always run testparm after you edit smb.conf.
4. You can make your smb.conf a little smaller by putting things like
'mangle case' in global section instead of each & every service.
