I had something similar problem. I solved it by logging onto our wesite
space providers machine and downloading the file i wanted through lynx and
then mailing it to myself.

So if u have anyone who can do such thing it should be working. OR u can try
logging onto some  public telnet serverand downloading the file from there
and mailing it to yourself through pine attachment.

Hope this helps......This is a workaround i guess not a solution.....
