hi,
I do not know about the documentation available on the web but a book by
name "Linux kernel internals"IInd edition  by Michale Beck, Drik Verwoner
et.al is available. Published by Addison-wesley`. U can check it out. It
gives a very good information of all the aspects of the Os design.
