Problems in X please help

Hi,

Im having a nasty problem with the mouse under Xwindows and KDE The mouse 
pointer looks like a huge flag not a small X with the colours
underneath the flag changing as it moves. My card is s3virge and my
processor is Cyrix M II . MY linux mswap is 101Mb and  the linyux
native is 1.6Gb. The mouse makes it impossible to use Xwindows.
Pleas HELP
