Good statistics.  But as far as an OS like Linux (Or Windows for that
matter) is concerned, only integer operations count and floating point
operations are nowhere in the picture.  (Infact almost al OS's run
perfectly on 386's and 486SX's which have absolutely no floating point
capabilities whatsoever.)

For floating point operations, 3D transforms and Scientific number
crunching, the P-II, P-III, Celeron and Pentium Pro are in a class of their
own.
