Few days back I replied similar mail.

Over clocking is not at all advisable as it increases the amount of heat
generated in core of cpu. If you can use chill water to cool the cpu
then you may over clock it to 300% also ;-)

The excess heat generated in core degrades the silicon wafers of cpu and
reduces the life of cpu. 

It is profitable to use a 200 Mhz cpu for 5 years then using the same
cpu for only 1 year at 233 Mhz ;-)
