Sure u can with the help of any  offline browser . Getweb is an excellent 
offline browser for  linux   and can be used with x also (can be found by
searching for an offline browser at freshmeat).Some proxy servers can also do
the job of caching the relevant pages for offline viewing . Moreover files are
stored in an easy to download  directory structure . I have downloaded  quite a
few books  from mcp.com (though i doubt if it is legal ).
