clustering with linux

welcome back linux-india...

i wanted to make a mention of "clustering" in linux...
anyone out there trying this thing out?
i downloaded "beowulf" as well as "mosix for linux" (mosix was recently
changed from copyright to copyleft...gpl v2 ) and i am about to try
installing/running it on two 486s with ethernet cards...

there are a LOT of companies/universities and just plain bored people making
clusters out there!

i especially want to get the attention of Sachin, the guy who works for
CDAC...(hope i remember the name correct) I know CDAC does stuff like
high-performance computing and parallel computing etc etc... Linux with
clustering makes it cost-effective (and we all know why!) to build a
SuperComputer using a "cluster" of lesser capable (and cheaper)
machines...the end result is a "computer" which can match speeds of any CRAY
or Intel powerhouse out there! people are using it for various forms of data
analysis and computations...

if you are someone who works for CDAC or knows someone else who does then
please please forward this email...I'm pretty sure that CDAC are already
aware of this thing kinda thing but i wanted to let them know just in case!

anyone knows the status of the "Param" supercomputer work they are doing? (i
havent been following the situation...)

here are a few links for you to look at and read about this thing called
"clustering" with linux...

have fun
regards
vishal
