Traditionally, Linux users crow about the fact that Linux runs on low-end
machines, and runs well (I am one of them).

But the cruel fact of the matter is that the average home user (whom XP
will be aimed at) does not usually have a low-end machine at home.

In fact, low-end machines are typical of *office* environments - even in
India, home machines tend to be far more cutting edge, reasonable amounts
of RAM and disk space, a good display card, monitor and sound system.

"Runs on low end machines" has never been a good point to use in favour of
Linux, and it is even less relevant in the home segment.
