Maybe some people like wrox and billu bhaia (as some pirated CDs say) know
better how to entice masses. Just because those masses are not (yet) the
LUG masses doesn't mean they can't get Linux into the
mainstream. The spiral goes:

demands -> products -> business -> masses 

people make software, businesses make money, but people need money too.
