Re: Installing RedHat 7.0 + Windows NT+ Windows 2000 on a single machine.

Yes I have done it.. I have installed Win98 SE first, Then WinNT4.0
Workstation and then Win2000 Professional and then Suse Linux 7.0. All are
happily co-existing..
I use 98 SE for normal work, NTand 2000 for Internet surfing, Linux for
hacking and programming..
I use a 20.4 GB Samsung Spinpoint HDD...Chipset Intel 440BX2...Motherboard..
First i made only a Primary partition and then installed 98se on it.. Then i
made an NTFS partition next to it in an extended partition and installed NT
4.0 workstation on it.. Then i made a logical partition (FAT32) for my
software.. I then proceeded to install Linux. For Linux i made 3 partitions:
SWAP ==>120 MB
/BOOT ==>250MB
/ =====>4.XGB
I had to make the /BOOT partition before the 1024 cylinders. Otherwise my
linux WILL NOT BOOT..
BUT THE / PARTITION CAN BE ANYWHERE..After installing LINUX ( I experimented
with Mandrake 7.0, RedHat 7.0, Suse7.0---all the results will be same),
I went to fill up the remaining space with logical drives..Then i installed
2000 on one of those logical drives separately..
So here is how it boots..
First LILO ==>THEN NT BOOT LOADER==>THEN A MENU CONSISTING OF
NT2000
NT4.0
WINDOWS 98
will be popped..
I have to select the appropriate one..That is all..
However i used Partition magic 6.0 for all of this.. It considerably
simplified my job.. But i have also done the same thing using the freeware
utility PART by Micheal Ranish ( sorry if the spelling is wrong).. With PART
the job is a little
more difficult, but not impossible to accomplish..
ANy doubts...
Good luck
