What kind of binding do you want to do?
You want to assign an ip address to a network card?
#ifconfig ethx xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 
where x is to be replaced by appropriate numbers.
(your card will be eth0 if it is a single card).

Also, man ifconfig.
