LINK: Programme on Linux in South Goa

PROGRAMME ON LINUX ORGANISED

PANAJI: Agnel Technical Education Complex recently conducted a programme on
Linux at its complex at Verna.

Participants from reputed industries in Goa, viz Sesa Goa, Salgaocars, Kare
Laboratories, Sparrow Electronics and Controlnet, attended the programme which
covered a wide variety of topics concerning this new operating system.

Each participant was exposed to various facets of Linux and was also given
individual computer time on advanced hardware, which mainly comprised of PIII,
500MHz systems.

This programme was coordinated by M C Silva and Simiao D'Cunha, both holders
of master of engineering degrees, under the overall guidance and supervision
of Fr P M Rodrigues, director of the Agnel Technical Education Complex.

The core faculty comprised of Arvind, Clement and Shaikh Yonus. (ENDS)
