Re: Connecting to the net




Thanks everyone. I finally managed to get through to Satyam using Kppp dialer. The problem was with the DNS numbers of satyam. For interested person the details to be entered in the /etc/resolv.conf are:

domain satyam.net.in
nameserver 202.144.50.4
nameserver 202.144.13.50

The first number is the primary DNS and the second one is the secondary DNS

My resolv.conf for Satyam reads..
search satyam.net.in
nameserver 202.144.96.4
nameserver 202.144.99.4

If you find kppp a bore, get wvdial or kwvdial(for a QT interface) from
rpmfind....
