Yahoo IM for Sun workstation

Hi everyone

A friend of mine is not able to use Yahoo Messenger on his Sun Workstation. There is no version of Yahoo IM  for Solaris and he says even the Java version does not work when his workstation is Java enabled.
Also if src code of Yahoo IM is available then he can compile it for Solaris.
Can anyone tell me how to use Yahoo IM on a Solaris Workstaion?
