 hi
     u have to enable symmetric multiprocessin in your kernel. if it is disabled u have to recompile ur kernel after enableing that feature.
   how many processors u have on ur mama board?
actually there is limitation on number of processors.
if u wanna implement multiprocessin on a cluster.( Beowulf) i can send u a good doc prepared by me.
