For rebooting a remote linux terminal

To do this you must have logged on  to the remote box using telnet, etc

Then write "shutdown -r now"
otherwise for redhat u can use the command "reboot" ...(This command
requires root previledges)

I dont remember whether u needed root previledges for rebooting  remote
systems. Dont have such a system now to try it out...But you can try it.
Will definitely work with root access. Normal logins i am not sure...
