Modprobe Error

I'm using Mandreak Linux 8.0 and everthing works fine.

But my sound card AD1816 is not properly configured.

In Red Hat Linux, i usally use Sound Blaster Pro. I
tried every hit adn trial, even note down the IRQ Base
IO etc. from Win OS and try to give in Linux OS, but
in no good news. Still hissing sound. 

The error is something modprobe: can't ... pnpisa
etc... 

Pls. help i'm switching over to Linux from win.
