For yahoo, go to your mail options and enable POP from there.  Then
use the server pop.mail.yahoo.com for retrieving your mails with
fetchmail. 

AFAIK, hotmail does not support POP (and thus fetchmail).  There are
some perl programs available on the net which can download your
hotmail mail in local mailbox.
