re:

If you are installing Rh6.2
on Intler 810i* chipset then I suggest
you dont
go and buy a book with a cd rom odf RH7.0

Simple enough but if you are really lazy
and I mean really lazy
then goto www.redhat.com/errata
the detailed instructions are there

I tried the same thing but they werent very helpful
atleast not to the beginners like us
I assume you are as well 'cos else you would know
the agpart ' module is missing from 6.2
since 810ie came out after 6.2

for creating a native partition out of FAT16 etc
USE FIPS:: but be warned palying with it
ruin everything

But what the heck give it a try
and let me know if it works

HI everyone
I am tring to install red hat 6.2 on a 17 gb hard disk, my hard disk has 4
partions of 3 gb.
I tried to install linux on one of the partion which is win fat formatted,
when i gave it a mount point of / at /hda7 installer gave me a warning sayi=
ng
that you are trying to install linux on windows partion which will slow the
linux.
Can any one tell me how can i format a win fat formatted partion to linux
native so that my linux amchine would work to optimum value.
I also need to know how can i configure 810 chipset for x-server and onboard
sound card of 810 as i own one.

Hoping for reply
Vivek
