PErformance comparison ??

In a recent FreeBSD ad, it was claimed that FreeBSD is fully binary
compatible with linux, is more stable and runs many linux apps faster than
Linux.

Are there any site where I can find more info on these facts?? If what
they say is true, FreeBSD does sound more attractive to try out, since
their philosophy is more digestable and understandable anyway .. ;)

Regards,
 Sandip
