How to Configure Gnome on RHL 6.2

I have installed RHL 6.2 on 810 m/b (HCL M/c)
I choose server setup in text mode.
Now M/c is running in text mode. How to configure
X-Console (Xconfiurator could not probe my monitor).
Also how to configure Dlink Modem for ppp. From where I can
get documentation i.e. HOWTO as I have to setup my m/c
for mail server ? Help ?
