Hi!
I am not a Gnome guy myself ...but a KDE one...so i can't help you with
that..

But about the java thing , I would like to tell you to chuck the
JDK1.2prev2 rpm that came with rh6.1 . Try to get a cd of pcq rh6.2 CD and
install kaffe-java. On linux , kaffe is better than that jdk1.2 distrib...

Anyway which exact package are you missing???
