selectively delete the mails in the pop server

Hai luggies,
I want to access the pop/imap server in my office.I am able to access the 
mails using fetchmail.I want to selectively delete the mails in the server say 
like "5 th mail or anything of that sort".
I even tried to put the mailserver in my collection list of pine.But not able 
to see my INbox there in the collection list.Only personal folders I am able 
to see in the collectionlist of pine.And pine asks for my password for each 
and every operation i try to do with my mail server.
