hi all,

i dont believe the kernel needs anything; i have a bunch of machines with
512MB and 256MB and they all boot normally without any mem= in lilo and
use all the ram. i am running stock redhat 6.2 (and 7.0 on some). of
course, there is some motherboard dependency. it is possible that the
850MB swap is the problem; why so much swap? this has been discussed
recently in this group, i believe.
