Hi,
u can restrict users by creating a access control
list. using this list, u can specify which user can
access which directory.

there is a documentation along with apache which tells
you how to do this. the file is usually named
.htaccess under apache and ftpaccess under ftp

i think that there is a man page which desc the syntax
of this file since i dont remember the exact syntax of
the file.

it is usually of the form

directory-name user permission
