There was some more discussion/followup on Linux today. Cisco basically
came back and said "linux is not covered by the patent".

I think the open source OSes have nothing to worry about, as far as
existing stuff is concerned, because it can easily be shown as prior
art. However, one has to be careful going forward.

Again, this is a problem only in countries where the patents are valid :)
