Trouble with XF 3.3.6
Dear Sir,
Back on windows, hopefully with your help for a short time!!
Need your help on configuring X for 810 motherboard. I had little trouble
getting it to run on RH 6.1. Yesterday, I upgraded to 6.2 and its all messy
now.
I have done all the Xconfigurator stuff - I even see the demo of X at the
end. But once I try to startx - the server gets killed with the error
message at the bottom. (the last message is:
gart allocate: Cannot allocate memory
(--) SVGA: GART: allocation of 1024 pages failed at page 0
Fatal server error:
Aborting)
I have also done insmod agpgart.
See if you can help. There seems to be some trouble with gart getting
memory. Hopefully you have seen this before. Once again - I had no such
trouble with RH 6.1 except for separate modules et all - if you cannot
figure out wwhats wrong, can u tell me how I can roll back X alone to RH
6.1??
