Yahoo messenger, mail directory regd

Hello,
I have in my /var/spool/mail directory only one file named as root.
As a user my mails are not getting delivered in pine.
How can I create /var/spool/mail/username.
Thanks in advance.

Is there any way to chat with friends in Yahoo messenger from Linux.
