Mail server

Hi luggies,
i am entrusted with the responsibility of setting up mailserver on
linux(currently using M$ exchange) as part of the swift towards linux. we
have about 350 users. i am planning to use sendmail for the same. Has
anybody implemented qmail? i have heard configuring qmail is much easier
than sendmail? any comments? what would you suggest sendmail/qmail/?
Tips of any kind are welcome.
