Project guidance required

Hi,

A friend of mine who is doing his final year BE in Computer Science
is interested in doing some projects in Linux with C/C++/Java. He has
a time period restriction of 2-3 months (not entirely full-time).

Suggestions are welcome. Further if there is any organisation which 
would like to take interns for a period of 2-3 months, this would be 
most welcome.

Please redirect your queries/offers to me directly as this might not 
interest everyone. If, however, there are any suggestions, you can also
PROBABLY post them to the list 'cos they might be useful for other
people too.
