No way! that is not the mistake!! I tried 
# mount -text2 /dev/fd0 /floppy 

and it works (the CD is in use right now...).  I am not fighting over
this but please atleast run the command once and test your hypothesis
before you post anything to 100++ folks.  If you look at it one way
this is just as bad as spam (esp. if you quote a slew of earlier
irrelelvant messgs in the process).
