Re: on samba

i have looked at smb.conf and the documentation. I would like to know if
samba can act as WINS server to some extent for dynamic name resolution of
computer names (in windows terminology).

I understand from the documentation that it can act as WINS. In what context
is this true? How do I do this? Kindly give me a step by step procedure, if
possible. At least some pointers as to how exactly it works and how I should
do this?

Sriram
